Kaynak Elektrodları ve Sanayi A.Ş. was founded in 1957 in order to manufacture stick electrodes as a licensee of Oerlikon-Buehrle AG. In the year 1996, in order to reduce costs, to strengthen the leading position in Türkiye and turn Magmaweld into a global brand, two old factories in Istanbul were moved to new, state of the art factory in Manisa, situated in the west of Türkiye. In 2010 the second factory has been opened also in Manisa to produce high-tech welding equipment as well as to integrate robotic automation systems.
